Astrology of June 2025: Revolutionary Energy, Testing Structures, Open Wounds
Week of June 15–21, 2025
After a few weeks of more supportive and gentle astrology, this week’s astrology HAS TEETH. There is a lot going on this week, so bear with me. We will be feeling the effects of these transits for a while after they hit. Storms are brewing. Brace yourself.
Let’s talk a little about Uranus-
Uranus is the planet of sudden change, freedom, and rebellion. It shakes up the status quo and tears down outdated systems and ideas. Its energy is electric, unpredictable, and innovative. It brings breakthroughs, surprises, disruption, and chaos.
Uranian energy is about awakening, liberation, and pushing boundaries. When Uranus is active in the sky, expect sudden shifts, a craving for independence, and a fierce drive to break free from limitations.
Uranus is the wild card of the zodiac. Its disruption creates space for new possibilities.
Since 2018, Uranus has been in Taurus. It has effectively been shaking the ground beneath us. What we once prized as a culture: stability, security, money, comfort, systemic control—is out. Uranus in Taurus has been redefining security, putting values on trial, and pushing us toward economic, social, and environmental revolution.
We’re done with extractive systems.
Instead, we’re building lives rooted in justice, care, and collective liberation.
On June 15, Mars in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus 28°54’.
Mars in Leo centers bold, heart-driven action. Uranus brings sudden shifts, rebellion, accidents, and breakthroughs. Together, they spark a restless need to do something now.
This energy is combustible.
We are done playing nice.
We will not be told what to do.
This transit is about rebellion and revolution. This energy makes it nearly impossible to tolerate feeling boxed in, slowed down, or diminished. If something’s been weighing on you, this could be the spark that sets you free.
But freedom like this can be messy. It shakes things up, interrupts plans, unravels things you may have thought were working. On a personal level you may be feeling a lot of turmoil, OR inspired to take bold action.
Relationships or working environments may be extremely turbulent.
Mars–Uranus and the ICE Protests
We are in a Mars square Uranus moment and it’s roaring in the streets. Protesters across the country are rising up against ICE, against the cages, the raids, and the violence. Mars in Leo moves with fire and pride. It refuses to hide or play small. Uranus in Taurus shakes the ground beneath anything too rigid, too cruel, or too obsessed with power.
We will not sit idly by in the face of monstrous atrocities.
This is freedom energy. It is raw, unpredictable, and unapologetic. People are refusing to stay quiet. Refusing to comply. Refusing to accept injustice as normal. Refusing to pretend that people aren’t being kidnapped and kept in cages. Refusing to pretend that what’s happening in L.A. and all across America right now isn’t fascism.
This is the kind of astrology that rises to meet the moment. The Mars square Uranus aspect is not smooth or easy. It disrupts and demands. But when it is aligned with truth, it becomes a catalyst for real change.
June 15 – Jupiter square Saturn (Cancer/Aries 1°18’)
On the same day as our Mars/Uranus square we have another hard hitter: The final Jupiter-Saturn square.
These planets met up for the first time starting in August 2024. They met again in December 2024, and are squaring again now for the last time.
When these two titans clash, our dreams of growth get checked by the reality of what it actually takes to build something that lasts.
This square tests the structures you are building in your life.
It also shines a light on how you may be overextending yourself.
Jupiter, who just moved into Cancer, expands your vision of what is possible. It sweetens our dreams of longing for nourishment, connection, and a supportive environment. Saturn in Aries says go faster, push harder, don’t stop to feel.
This tension may show up in our inner world as burnout, self-doubt, or the pressure to do it all without asking for help.
Or it may show up in the outer world as institutions tightening their grip while people fight for autonomy.
The antidote?
Discerning what is truly sustainable for you.
You don’t need to do everything at once. Trust that the deeper root system you are building now will support real growth later.
June 17 – Sun sextile Chiron (Gemini/Aries 26°21’)
And if that wasn’t enough…
The Sun in Gemini shines a light on old wounds related to our identity (Chiron in Aries).
Chiron in Aries speaks to the ache of self-worth.
But this is a sextile, not a square, and we can meet our pain with curiosity instead of judgment.
If you are already feeling especially tender, this may bring up parts of you that still wonder if you are enough.
On the other hand, you may be re-integrating parts of yourself that have been exiled or rejected.
This is a good time to check in with yourself and on your friends. It’s perfect for a cup of tea and honest conversations, journaling, or naming a truth you have been carrying alone. You do not need to solve anything. You just need to roll with the energy and notice if it brings anything up.
June 17 – Mars enters Virgo (0°00’)
After the fire of Leo, Mars steps into earthy Virgo. The energy shifts from intense to precise. This quieter Mars transit invites you to give its power a purpose, and to refine your output. Use Mars in Virgo for editing, cleaning, organizing, and improving your systems.
Notice where you’re called to refine. How can you use Virgo’s energy effectively and discern your own right actions? How can we be compassionate rather than judgmental of others?
The fire that fueled our desire to be seen now turns toward getting our shit together, building strong foundations through hard work and attention to detail.
The tension from Mars square Uranus won’t disappear right away. Expect moments of impatience, surprise, or sudden shifts as Mars pushes us to claim our independence and Uranus demands change. We will feel the ripple effects of this transit for some time.
This week feels like a dance between structure and rebellion, steady progress and shaking things up. Balance action with awareness. Move deliberately. Speak your truth. Avoid rushing into conflict from restlessness.
As Mars settles into Virgo, quiet determination holds more power than loud assertion. Focus on healing, fixing, and creating routines that support your goals without burnout. Mars stays in Virgo for several weeks. Use this time to build habits, sharpen skills, and care for your body as a sacred vessel for your will.
June 18 – Jupiter square Neptune (Cancer/Pisces 2°06’)
Now that we’re done with Saturn beefing with Jupiter, it’s Neptune’s turn. This transit can very much feel like a fog rolling in. Jupiter wants to grow, Neptune wants to dissolve. In a square, they create confusion, disappointment, or idealism that does not quite land. You may feel pulled between emotional hope and spiritual disillusionment.
Do not make big decisions if you are feeling cloudy. Let this energy wash over you gently. What you feel is not wrong. It just might not be the whole picture yet.
June 20 – Sun enters Cancer (0°00’)
The Solstice. The Sun moves into Cancer, welcoming a new season of softness, rest, and emotional truth. This is a chance to slow down, return to what matters, and ask: Where do I feel most at home in my own body, in my own life?
Let this be a sacred reset. Water your roots.
Pondering Pluto in Aquarius and the Revolutionary Fire
Pluto has been moving through Aquarius for a while now, and its influence runs deep. Pluto is about transformation at the root level, breaking down old power structures and clearing space for something new. Aquarius brings the energy of innovation, community, and radical freedom.
Pluto’s power adds extra oomph to the Mars square Uranus tension this week. We can expect the call for revolution to get louder. It’s not just about sudden rebellion or breaking free for freedom’s sake. It’s about transforming the systems that no longer serve us—systems that have held people back, kept injustices in place, and limited our collective potential.
This energy supports the kind of change that is lasting. It’s messy, it’s intense, and it may feel chaotic. But it’s necessary. It’s about tearing down the old to make way for a future built on freedom, equality, and truth.
What we are witnessing in protests and movements now is part of that larger Plutonic transformation. The fire of Mars and the shock of Uranus spark action. Pluto in Aquarius fuels the deep, structural shifts that those actions demand.
If you are feeling this energy, you are part of the collective push toward something bigger than yourself. This week asks you to consider: What can I do to help? How can I, in my own small little way, contribute?
This Week’s Vibe
The energy this week is intense and clarifying. There's pressure in the sky and unrest on the ground. We’re in a moment of collective friction. The sky is full of squares: growth edges, friction, pressure, recalibration. Deep truths rise. Systems crack. The need for change is impossible to ignore.
Expect both inner fire and emotional tenderness.
Lean in to self-honesty. Choose honesty over perfection.
Take care of your nervous system. If you have the capacity, do more. I’m cheering you on.
If explosions happen, give everyone (including yourself) grace.
Old systems have to fall before anything new can take root.
If it feels like something is breaking open, you're not wrong. That opening is part of the path.
I’m so glad to be walking it with you.
Big hugs,
a
